Blueskin Certification
The Leonard Kraus Company is officially certified to install and apply Blueskin Air Barrier Systems, and is currently finalizing another successful installation of the self-adhering non-permeable system.
Blueskin SA is self-adhering and mainly consists of an SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) rubberized asphalt compound. The compound is laminated to engineered thermoplastic film to provide first-rate air, weather, and vapor protection. Blueskin SA has excellent adhesion to surfaces such as concrete, concrete block, primed steel, aluminum mill finish, anodized aluminum, galvanized metal, gypsum board, and plywood.
Assemblies of Blueskin SA, primer and sealant meet the ASTM E-2357 air barrier performance standard.
