Yard 56
Yard 56 is located across from Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in East Baltimore. The first phase of Yard 56 will contain several shops and restaurants for the locals to enjoy, including patients and residents of the hospital. This new 20 acre retail center will not only bring a refreshing new look to East Baltimore, but will provide a comforting feel to the area. Plans for phase II of Yard 56 include a hotel, office spaces, and even more stores beginning in 2020.
Leonard Kraus Co. worked on four of the buildings at the Yard 56 complex. Knightwall rain screen and DOW Thermax rain barrier was installed alongside the exterior walls of each building. Drywall and light-gauge metal framing was installed on the interior of the building, and roof trusses were set on the metal framed structures.
