Harford County Library- Darlington Branch
The Harford County Public Library -Darlington Branch opened its doors on October 19, 2022. This building was established in 1996, and had several businesses pass through. The county purchased the vacant building in 2020 in hopes to restore and modernize its appearance and provide an educational facility to the public.
General Contractor: Wickersham Construction & Engineering, Inc.
Leonard A. Kraus Co., Inc. worked with Wickersham to create a contemporary styled library while still holding onto the uniqueness of the building. Installing specialty acoustical ceilings & custom barn doors gave this building a provincial appearance compared to an ordinary library. On the exterior of the building Leonard Kraus Co. installed Fundermax Phenolic Rainscreen panels for duration in all weather. All aspects of the work completed, including gypsum finishes & custom carpentry made for a perfect representation of the long-standing structure.
