WTMD at the Towson City Center considered for Associated Builders & Contractors 2013 Award of Excellence
The Leonard A. Kraus Company collaborated with Chesapeake Contracting group in the Spring/Summer of 2013 on another striking project, WTMD at Towson City Center. WTMD is Towson University’s own radio station. Kraus was responsible for all the acoustical ceiling and drywall work, using most notably Supress Sound-Engineered Drywall. Supress is a specialty drywall board, designed for high-performance sound and vibration absorption. The New Facility includes not only an on-air studio, two production studios and a performance studio, but also a community meeting space, classroom and offices for employees. Chesapeake is submitting this project for the ABC 2013 Award of Excellence.
